Role Overview:

We're looking for a reliable, organized, and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver/ Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles . Reporting to the Operations Director, this role involves handling the washing, delivery, and collection of reusable products using our specialized 26ft box truck equipped with a hydraulic lift gate as needed. Your contributions will directly impact our mission of promoting sustainability and reducing waste in event spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload cases of product from the box truck with precision and care.
  • Sort and prepare dirty cups for washing.
  • Operate a commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize cups.
  • Inspect products for quality assurance.
  • Pack and organize clean products for delivery to customers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any issues promptly.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning and cleanliness prior to delivery to customers.
  • Accompany the Operations Manager on deliveries and pickups.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  • Perform order deliveries using company vehicles and technology such as our company’s App while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to execute delivery plans effectively.
  • Represent r.World professionally during client interactions.
  • Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and operational checklists.
  • Familiarize yourself with local routes and optimize delivery efficiency.
  • Provide support in wash cycle activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience operating a 26ft box truck or similar vehicle (professional experience required).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (commercial driver's license preferred).
  • Ability to drive safely in diverse weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a DOT medical exam
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and protocols.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in operating a pallet jack, ratchet straps, pallet wrap, and using GPS/routing systems.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate in a team environment.
