With operations across Europe and North America, we are on an ambitious growth journey and are looking for a Group Accounting Manager to help us build a best-in-class global finance function.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading our US accounting operations while partnering closely with the US Managing Director to provide strategic financial guidance and operational support across departments. Reporting directly to the US Managing Director with a dotted line to our Global CFO, you will be part of our global finance team with the opportunity to partner with other finance leaders across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance department ensuring effective financial management and reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Take an active role as financial business partner supporting Caljan US management team
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee cash flow management and financial risk assessment.
  • Responsible for local Caljan US insurance program, investments, & state tax code setups, filings & changes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
  • 6-8 years experience within finance, preferably from a similar position.
  • Proven leadership ability with a strategic mindset and a proactive, change-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of financial software and tools.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous.
