Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Assist the Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic in fabrication and installation of sheet metal duct systems Load, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment Support job site setup and project execution following standard operating procedures Learn to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Operate hand and power tools with guidance and training Participate in training opportunities and skill development activities Qualifications ~1+ years of experience in HVAC, construction, or mechanical work preferred (not required) ~ Eagerness to learn and develop new trade skills ~ Basic familiarity with hand tools and mechanical systems ~ Strong attention to detail, safety, and reliability ~ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions ~ Valid driver's license with a clean record preferred ~ Ability to communicate effectively in English Benefits Paid on-the-job training and advancement opportunities Medical, dental, and optical insurance (company contributes) Paid Time Off (PTO) and 5 paid holidays Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement (role dependent) Short-term disability insurance IRA retirement plan with company match Tool account assistance (interest-free) Tuition reimbursement and paid training programs Schedule ~ Full-time, Monday through Friday - 8-hour shifts ~(Saturday shifts may be required depending on project needs) Work Location: ~ Newport News, VA and surrounding areas Equal Opportunity Employer Art Newsome, Inc. values diversity in the workplace.
