Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of production processes by coordinating schedules, managing inventory, and forecasting demand. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles to optimize production planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing, procurement, and sales, to ensure alignment on production goals.
• Utilize systems for effective scheduling and inventory management.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production while minimizing excess stock.
• Forecast future demand using historical data and market trends to support effective planning.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding material availability and lead times to prevent disruptions in the production process.
• Prepare reports on production performance metrics for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production scheduling or a related field within supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting techniques, demand planning, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across the organization.
• A background in fabrication or manufacturing processes is a plus.
