Volunteer Opportunity Treasurer (Nonprofit Board Member) Organization Caregiver OneCall
Location Antioch, CA (Remote options available)
Time Commitment 10-12 hours/month

About Us Caregiver OneCall is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering a free 24/7 emotional support hotline, resources, and training for family caregivers. We believe caregivers deserve care too-and that no one should navigate caregiving alone.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. If you are passionate about supporting caregivers and have a strong background in nonprofit financials and fundraising, we need your leadership and expertise.
What You’ll Do - Oversee the financial health of the organization
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and accountant to review budgets, reports, and monthly financials
- Present financial updates at board meetings and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards
- Help guide financial planning, reporting, and sustainability strategies
- Support grant budgeting, donor reporting, and IRS/state compliance
- Lead or support the annual budget development process
- Help shape the organization’s fundraising strategy and leverage your own donor/funder networks for outreach
- Assist in donor cultivation, stewardship, and capital campaign planning
- Ensure strong internal controls and ethical financial oversight
What We’re Looking For - Proven experience in nonprofit finance and board governance
- Background in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (CPA not required, but a plus)
- Experience with grant budgets, audits, and nonprofit reporting
- Must have active fundraising experience and funder/donor relationships you can bring to the table
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for caregiver support and improving community health
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, 990s, and nonprofit compliance is ideal
