Regional Sales Manager – Energy Transition & Renewables

Location: Houston, TX
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid
Experience:  Minimum three (3) years' experience in Energy, Utilities, or Industrial sectors.  Related experience with EPC's highly preferred.

Comp : $90k - $130k base plus variable comp

Our client, a global leader in industrial automation and digitalization, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive growth in the renewables, utilities, and energy transition sectors. Based in Houston, this role is central to expanding the market presence and fostering strategic client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow key accounts, focusing on EPCs, OEMs, and end-users.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy transition landscape.
• Project focus is on hydrogen plants, green energy plants, and/or carbon capture plants.
• Other projects may consist of power generation, water & wastewater, or electrical distribution.
• Present tailored automation and digital solutions to technical teams and executive leadership.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales pipeline reports.
• Collaborate with marketing to enhance brand awareness and competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3-10 years of sales experience in Energy Transition, Utilities, or Industrial sectors.
• Proven track record in Electrical, Automation, Industrial, or Digital/Software Sales.
• Good understanding of the sales life cycle and the EPC’s role in the project.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Willingness to travel across the contiguous 48 states.
• Hybrid: In the office once a week for team meetings and customer sites or home the rest of the time.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting.
